Armenian Scientists Take Part In Construction Of World-Best GAMMA-TELESCOPE
The world best and most perfect gamma-telescope was launched in Namibia. It is intended to trace the gamma-radiation coming from most of the charged parts of the universe. This project was jointly implemented by scientists from SAR, Namibia, Great Britain, Germany, France, Ireland, the Czech Republic and Armenia.
The telescope officially called "Stereoscopic System of High Energies" will be used to identify the sources of cosmic rays bombarding the atmosphere of the Earth, to study "black holes," pulsators and explosions of "super-new" stars.
