The right fitness studio for you
You have come up with the idea to practise Fitness-training and now you are spoilt for choice considering the array of Studios on the market. For a newcomer it is often difficult to decide whether a studio is sufficient for your goals or not. At first, if you expect to take part to a healthy and organized fitness training, it should really pay attention to the staff and to the organization. Do not fix on the first best studio but try also to make use of the raging competition between studios. A serious studio should always offer you a free access on a trial basis without any commitment and under the supervision of a trainer. During this period, you should consider the following points with a critical eye.
Training supervision
What is the most important in a studio is the trainer, who is in charge to take care of you. If not every fitness studios can offer qualified trainers, your trainer should however have a sound education. In addition to its general training knowledge, he should also have studied sport medicine. Make a discreet allusion to its qualification and its areas of specialisation. Such questions are certainly not unusual and should not put you ill at ease. A good trainer will carry out a training test with you in order to
determine your former sport injuries, your sport goals and if you are in good condition to do sport. You should be aware that an unskilled trainer gambles with your health. Someone who always claims to have the good answer, who pretends to know everything from every fields, is not necessarily an expert. A trainer who takes it time to answer to difficult questions or even ask to a doctor or injured gymnasts is often most capable.
Equipment condition
It is clear that the fitness studio does not need to be fit with the newest equipment on the market in order to train even the smallest muscles of the body. A studio with an equipment not really spectacular can
provide optimal training conditions. However, you should take into account that there is enough cardio-training equipment (like for instance, treadmills, steppers, rowers and cycles) and that the equipment perfect working order. Cardio-training equipment should give the possibility to control the heart rate. By free weight training, you should also have access to long and short. Above all, as an experienced sportsman in doing weight training, you will increasingly train with free weights. The cleanness of the equipment will give evidence or not of a regular maintenance. Safety conditions have to be largely described. Lying about free barbells, loose fastenings of barbells and wire cables account for high risks of accidents.
Training program
A good studio will also propose a huge variety of training programs like aerobic, spinning, pump which complete a specific gymnastic program and train for example legs, belly, backside and spinal column muscles. A training in one of this
program should be included in the studio offer for new comers. Studios also offer systematically relaxing exercises like T´ai Chi or autogene training. What is above all essential for such programs is a capable trainer.
Service and atmosphere
The first impression is really important. When you come for the very first time in the studio, you have to be satisfied by friendly services provided by the staff. Pay attention to the atmosphere between sportsmen in the studio and have a look to some training. Then try to have information about the most appropriated time to train in this studio and about the possibility to seriously train here
Price
Most of the time quality is associated with high prices. However the most expensive studio is not always the best one. Sometimes it is worthy to look for another town in order to find a really good studio. You should compare prices and services from the different studio and pay attention to the term of the contract. Be careful when you read the sales conditions and especially important information concerning termination and closing down.
